INTERIOR DESIGN’S HALL OF FAME
Interior Design announced a new location and date for the 33rd annual Hall of Fame Awards. It will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30 at the River Pavilion located in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. For more than 30 years, the Hall of Fame was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel; due to their three-year renovation, Interior Design sought out a fresh location. The Javits Center was designed by I.M. Pei & Partners and opened in 1986. The elegant 45,000sf, glass-enclosed River Pavilion is located on the 4th floor of the Center. The 12th annual Best of Year Awards will take place the following night, Friday, Dec. 1, at Frank Gehry’s IAC Building.
