HUDDLE! EXPLORING PROMINENT AFRICAN-AMERICAN ARTISTS

This virtual tour celebrates the work of the most prominent Black artists of the past two centuries, with special focus on the African-American diaspora. We will explore the impact of race and identity, the importance of narrative and storytelling, and the new energy around Black portraiture, among other topics. Artworks we will see may include the work of David Drake, Elizabeth Catlett, El Anatsui, Faith Ringgold, David Hammons, Kara Walker, Yinka Shonibare, Kerry James Marshall, Zanele Muholi, and Wangechi Muti.
