IIDA Albany City Center 6th Annual Flannel Fest Recap
The 6th Annual Flannel Fest hosted by the IIDA Albany City Center was an unforgettable evening of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy. Design professionals from Albany and beyond gathered to celebrate in true flannel fashion, donning their best plaid attire for a casual, yet vibrant event.
Attendees were treated to a lively atmosphere complete with delicious food from the Old Daley’s Baja Food Truck, offering a tasty selection of bites that paired perfectly with the event's laid-back vibe. Drinks flowed, and a live DJ kept the energy high with a great mix of tunes, encouraging guests to mingle and enjoy the evening.
In addition to the food and music, there were plenty of yard games in the grove, providing opportunities for friendly competition and a chance to unwind with fellow designers. The fun and festive atmosphere made it easy for everyone to connect, laugh, and celebrate the local design community.
A major highlight of the event was the raffle organized by the event's Friends of Flannel Sponsors. Guests were encouraged to bring cash for a chance to win some great prizes, with all raffle proceeds benefiting The Common Thread for the Cure, a cause dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families. This charitable aspect of the event reminded everyone of the importance of giving back, adding an extra layer of meaning to the evening.
